Jeffries Journal
December 2024
From the Principal
We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to spend time doing things you enjoy with the ones you love most. As we finish the first semester, we have a lot to celebrate and accomplish over the next month. We appreciate your diligence in ensuring that your child(ren) is at school every day, all day so they don't miss out on important learning and the fun holiday activities we have planned.
On Monday, December 2nd we will begin middle of the year testing. Testing will run through Friday, December 13th. Galileo ELA and Math testing will take place the first week, with Dyslexia testing occurring the folllowing week. Please make sure that your child eats a good breakfast, gets plenty of sleep, brings a water bottle, and has a healthy snack. Our students have been working so hard, and we are excited to see the growth that they've made.
The Jeffries team hopes that you have a beautiful holiday season. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything.
Sincerely,
Dr. Glenn and Mrs. Hodson

December Attendance Challenge
The Turkey Attendance Challenge has ended and the winners are the students in Mrs. Lollis' Class! They are the team to beat this year. We are having so much fun reinforcing the importance of attendance with our students through these friendly competitions.
Our current building attendance is 94.17%. Let's see if we can get that up to 95% this month!
For December, we will be doing a Hot Cocoa Challenge. Classes will add a marshmallow to their virtual hot cocoa mug each day they have 95% attendance or better. The winning class will get to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa to celebrate! Thank you for teaming up with us to ensure your students are at school every day so they can learn and grow their brains this year!
