Talon Rally is for the students to celebrate their accomplishments! If you have had students in Pre-K in the past, parents were able to come to awards assemblies. This year is a little different. Students only for this year. We will always share and take pictures.

You might see these letters and here is what they represent:

D= Developed in that skill

SD= Still developing in that skill

N= Needs more time and improvement in that skill

S= Satisfactory

U= Unsatisfactory

What we will be learning this week

Where we live/Communities see changes in the fall.

Colors- BLACK and GRAY - review pink, white, brown, red, blue, green, orange, purple and yellow

Shapes-review circle, square, rectangle, rhombus, heart and oval and their attributes

Writing - review: touch pull down/ strokes up and down (drawing shapes)

Math - Number 6- count objects up to 6, compare sets with more and less/taller and shorter/heavy and light

Reading -REVIEW: Letter , Ff, Ii, Aa, Ss, Tt , Nn and Mm, introduce Oo.

Science-fall weather and changes of seasons, Thanksgiving holiday

Important dates

Nov. 12- Thanksgiving Feast

Nov. 15- No school/Staff development day

Nov. 25-29 - Thanksgiving break

Extra pair of clothes

Please make sure your child has an extra pair of clothes in their backpack for emergencies. Sometimes we don't make it down to the bathroom in time or we spill our lunch on ourselves. Having an extra pair of shorts/pants and underwear in a baggie will keep us from having to call you in the middle of class. We can just change and clean up and get back to learning.

Reading every day/night

Reading each day/night to your child is so important. Click on the picture to see just how it will help your child and their success in learning. Bonus: It is great one on one quality time with your child.

Dress Code

Colors for caring

On the first Wednesday of each month, you may wear a color shirt that helps support a cause that is special to you. You can click on the picture to see colors and what cause each represents.
