Upcoming Events
State Testing
Math Testing:
- Monday April 15th
- Tuesday April 16th
Attendance on these days is very important. We test as a building from 8:00 - 9:30 each day.
Activity Calendar
We created a shared Google Calendar to keep students and parents up to date on what is taking place before and after school at LTMS.
USD 232 Athletic Physical Day
USD 232 will provide the opportunity to complete the physical process on May 4th, 2024 at Mill Valley High School. All physicals for the 2024-25 school year MUST be dated after May 1, 2024.
DHS Showcase Night
Spotlight DHS is just around the corner. This is an event where our future Wildcats and community members can come check out the amazing learning that is happening at DHS. We will have a variety of projects and demonstrations throughout the night. Take in a short musical performance, learn about the process of making art, engage in strength and conditioning, and check out the marketing efforts in Cat’s Corner. Many other projects will be on display.
We will start the night off recognizing the Class of 2024 and their post-secondary plans in the PAC.

LTMS Highlights
State Testing
I don't know anyone that actually enjoys standardized testing, but since the state assessment is the only way the state currently tracks academic progress, we want our students to do well. This week we took the English Language Arts test, which is full of passages, vocabulary, grammar questions, and more. Our staff is very proud of the positive ATTITUDE and the EFFORT our students displayed while taking part in something no one enjoys.
New Lunch Tables
Early this year our student advisory team brought forward a concern with some of our seating and tables in the cafeteria. This type of student ownership and advocacy is awesome, and through the proper approval and purchasing process we were finally able to introduce some new tables and seating options at lunches this week!
Track Team
The track season is already more than halfway over, and our kids are competitors! We have over 130 students participating (which is about half of our 7th and 8th graders!), and our coaches have done a great job making sure all students get to compete in multiple events. All levels (7th boys, 7th girls, 8th boys, 8th girls) have finished first in at least one meet, and several school records have already been broken! You can learn more about track through Coach Crady's newsletter.
Students vs. Teachers
Our Math Olympiad students took on several staff members in a math competition this week. And thankfully for the staff, they were able to bring home the victory for the staff on a tie-breaker question!
