East High Newsletter

August 2024

The start of the 2024-2025 school year is around the corner! I'm in the process of getting to know the building, the faculty and some of the students. My goal is to get to meet and get to know as many students as possible during the first few weeks of school.

As many of you know, Mr. Swatland has moved on to a different position in another school district. We wish him well this year and beyond. In my role at East as Interim Principal I will try to make the transition as seamless as possible from Mr. Swatland to whoever the new principal will be in the middle of October.

Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or suggestions. I already know what a great team of teachers, support staff and assistant principals are at East and I will be relying on them a great deal.

Student picture day is September 9th and 10th for all students. All student's should have their picture taken at this time to receive a school ID immediately. You may order pictures through Upstate imaging if you choose to but is not required to get an ID card. You are required to have a school ID for various events during the year including taking exams and attending dances, Homecoming, JDD and Prom. Make-up/retake date is October 22. Retakes for Senior pictures for the official yearbook photo ONLY is October 24. Scan here to order pictures
