Lenski Weekly Update
January 31st, 2025
From the Principal's Desk
Happy Friday, Superstars!
We hope you had a chance to enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather this week!
This past week, the EPIC Campus hosted the Hour of Code, and we were thrilled to see so many Lenski families attend! A huge shoutout to Ms. Wilhelm and Ms. Burnett for helping students explore the incredible drones and coding stations!
Earlier today, our 1st graders had an exciting field trip to the Museum of Nature and Science! They had a fantastic time and came back buzzing with new knowledge.
A special thank you to all our amazing parent volunteers who helped with the Vision & Hearing screenings! It was wonderful to see so many of you, and we truly appreciate your support in ensuring our kiddos got through their screenings—it makes a big difference!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
With Lenski Love,
Jessica
From the Office
❤️ Love from Lenski! Our Diaper Drive is underway! Please consider donating diapers to support families in need. The drive runs now through February 13th. Thank you for your generosity!
Reminders:
👕 Dress Code: Students must follow the school dress code—no midriffs should be exposed. Crop tops or shirts that show the belly are not allowed, and students will be required to change if they wear them.
🎩 Hats: Students may wear hats only during recess and lunch, but not during instructional time.
⌚ Smartwatches: Students should not use their smartwatches to text or play games during school. If misused, the device may be taken away, and a parent may need to pick it up from the office.
🚦 Traffic Safety: Please be mindful of stop signs during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Be sure to come to a complete stop to avoid the risk of a ticket.

From the Counselor
We have observed many students pretending to play scenes from the show Squid Games, including imitating violent actions. As you may know, this show contains themes that are not appropriate for children, and such behaviors don’t align with our school’s values of kindness and respect. Most students had never heard of the show at all but were just playing along in what appeared to be a game for kids.
When we speak with the students involved, we assure them they are not in trouble, but remind them of our school policy and expectations for safe, positive play. They are allowed to play the fun games, as long as they play safely. We also ask them not to call their games "Squid games.” We are committed to ensuring that recess remains a time when all students can have fun in a healthy and respectful way.
Family in Need
If you are able, please consider donating clothing for a family in need.
Female, adult size M in need of pants, socks & underwear, winter coat and winter wear, shoes size 6.
Thank you! We are grateful for your generosity and love.
