Holladay Welcome Back!
2024 - 2025
Message from the Principal
A Great First Day
Dear Redhawk Families,
I am thrilled to share that we had a successful first day! Our students were happy and engaged in learning throughout the day. Thank you for your vibrant participation during drop-off and your patience during pick-up. We loved having you out on the playground during our morning routine and are pleased to announce that the PTO plans to open our campus to parents again soon with a cafecito.
Many parents let us know that they had changed their pick-up plan, which was incredibly helpful. If your child is a bus rider but will be picked up, please let your child know and communicate with the office or their teacher.
As a reminder, tomorrow will be a traditional drop-off on 33rd Street. Please drive up, drop off your children, and remain in your cars. If your child has not had breakfast, please remind them to eat breakfast first before they play.
It was a great first day, and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Love,
Principal Humphries

Don't Be Tardy for the Party!
The bulk of new learning for reading and math occurs between 8:35am and 10:45am each day. When your child is tardy, even by 5 minutes, they miss important skills and concepts. If your child is tardy 5 minutes every day, they miss 25 minutes of material each week. Over the course of the year, this accumulates 13 hours worth of material they will need to catch up in order to prevent from falling behind.
Please do your best to be on time.

Morning Drop-off: Please use the single drop off location on 33rd Street starting at 7:45 AM. Have your child exit the car toward the curb/passenger side. We ask drivers to keep the flow of traffic moving forward and drivers to be aware of their surroundings. For safety reasons, there is no parking or U-turns to be made in the bus bay space. 33rd Street wraps around to 32nd Street and is the safest way to exit the neighborhood.
Dismissal pick-up: Similar to previous years, Holladay will have two pick-up locations.
33rd Street will remain the pick up point for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students, along with their older 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade siblings.
Fremont Avenue will remain the pick up point for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
