We would like to remind everyone that on Tuesday, January 28th from 6-8 pm at East Hoke Middle School, Dr. Spells’ will be hosting his second Superintendent’s Night out of this school year. During this session, you will be able to speak with Dr. Spell’s directly and department heads to gain a better insight into your child’s education here in Hoke County. We look forward to having a great turnout from our DSES families
We are excited to remind everyone that our popcorn fundraiser kicks off tomorrow, January 27th and runs through February 28th. Information was sent home already about how to access this online fundraiser. It’s quick, easy, and delicious. You can also find information on our website and school dojo.
Please mark your calendars for February 4th when we will celebrate the 100th day of school. On February 7th students will be released at 11:30 am for a professional development day for teachers. On February 8th, our first robotics competition of the year, which is our VEX competition will take place at Upchurch Elementary. Then on February 17th, there is no school for students due to a teacher workday.
Finally this evening, please remember that with cold weather continuing, don’t forget to send your child to school with warm coats, hats, and gloves. This helps our classes during recess, as well as with arrival and dismissal. As always we thank you for your continued support and have a wonderful week.
