Mystery Hostess Events

Mystery Hostess parties are where the "hostess" rewards from the orders placed at the event go to ONE lucky winner! This is an excellent way to get parties booked, sales and recruits - perfect!

You can even spice it up by having a themed party - like a Halloween Mystery Hostess Event, or a Christmas/Winter Mystery Hostess Event! (This training will have images you can use at any time that are not themed.)

So how does a Mystery Hostess event differ from a regular event? The party is set up mostly the same, except the hostess is determined at the end of the party. People can earn that spot by doing 1 of these 3 things in the image.

1) Placing an order - we all know how this one works, someone orders, and we thank them for their order and let them know they are entered to win.

2) Book a party - A really effective way to do this is to share an image with your “open dates” on it and have them message you or comment with the date that works for them. Here is an image that has October and November ready to go for you. You can use an image editing website to add boxes to mark dates that you are available and cross off some, too. The easiest way I have found to do that is to use www.picmonkey.com. Be sure to post in the event with a thank you and that they are entered to win.

3) Join your team - The "join" section on your website is a great place to direct anyone who is curious about your business. We also have online Q&A events every Monday night that you can invite potential team members to. If someone joins, be sure to post in the event that you are excited to have them on the team and that they are entered to win.

How do they work? Generally, all of the rewards built up from the party sales will go to one person who is deemed the Mystery Hostess (free and half-priced books). I also like to offer some small prizes for other guests based on “points” for participating. Some ideas for that could be a sample of wipe-clean activity cards (4 in an envelope), or free shipping. I post those winners at the end of the party as well, and refer to those prizes during the party as “BONUS” gifts. Feel free to think of your own prize options, too!
