Fremont Intermediate
August 9, 2024
We want to inform you that there are currently several illnesses circulating within our school community. While we are taking measures to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, we encourage you to be vigilant.
Please monitor your child for any symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or any other signs of illness. If your child is feeling unwell, we advise that they stay home to rest and recover.
To help minimize the spread of illness, we also recommend:
- Frequent handwashing with soap and water
- Covering coughs and sneezes
- Avoiding close contact with others
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep our school community healthy.
Halloween Parties
Halloween parties are on Thursday, October 31. Each classroom will allow three designated parent Party Hosts. These parents should arrive at 1:45 p.m. for the event. Other parents who are not assigned as Party Hosts will not be invited to attend. Students can change into their costumes before the party, so please send a costume they can put on independently. Costumes should be school-appropriate, with no depictions of violence, and makeup, masks, and weapons are not allowed. Thank you for your support and understanding.
If your child is unable to participate in the Halloween activities, please let your homeroom teacher know. We are happy to plan alternative activities to ensure that all children enjoy the day!
ELFP Community Forum
We would like to thank all of our community members who came out to Fremont Intermediate School Thursday night as the Steering Committee presented the recommendation for our Educational Long-Range Facility Plan (ELFP). This plan will serve as a roadmap for the future of our facilities over the next 20 years. It is important that this plan be representative of our community’s priorities. Our next steps include presenting the ELFP to our staff for feedback next week before taking the recommendation to the Board of Education at its November 18 meeting.
