DECA Store opening at Tartan
Earlier today, Tartan students cut the ribbon to open their brand new DECA store. They were joined by Tartan staff, District 622 school board members, the Oakdale Area Chamber of Commerce, and Oakdale Mayor Kevin Zabel.
DECA is a nationally recognized organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in
marketing, hospitality, management, and entrepreneurship. Through hands-on learning, experiential
activities, and the development of essential 21st-century skills, DECA empowers students to become academically prepared, community-oriented, professionally responsible, and experienced leaders.
Tartan DECA students have been working tirelessly to create a vibrant and dynamic school store where they can apply the skills they've acquired through DECA's programs. The store will offer a wide range of products and services, making it a valuable addition to our school community.
