Message From The Principal

Welcome Back Tiger Family,

I hope your break was restful and spent with friends and family, filled with gratitude! We hit the ground running this week and we will be retesting STAAR EOC for various students and subjects.- please see info listed under "Points of Emphasis".

Also, this week, several groups of students will be giving back to the community, performing, and competing on behalf of our school. Our basketball teams will play in games on campus and tournaments in the area. The golf team will be competing in Calallen, while our band will take part in the Region IV auditions in Alice. Speech and Debate drives up I35 and will compete at UT Austin this week, and our wrestling team is headed to Katy, Texas, for a tournament as well. I want to express my appreciation to the parents who bring our Tigers to early morning and afternoon practices, as well as to the coaches and sponsors who dedicate countless hours to preparing and supporting our students. When our Tigers find an area of interest to plug into during their time with us, it enhances their high school experience, making it so much richer and more fulfilling. Have a great week ahead. It's a great time to be a Tiger!

📚 STAAR EOC Retesting Schedule 🎓

Parents, STAAR EOC retesting is this week, and we need your help to ensure your student’s success! Passing all five STAAR EOC exams is a graduation requirement, so it’s crucial for students to be present and on time each day. Here’s the schedule:

🗓️ December 3: Algebra & U.S. History
📍 Locations: Aux Gym, Film Room, Library

🗓️ December 4: English II & Biology
📍 Locations: Aux Gym, Film Room, C-112, Library

🗓️ December 5: English I
📍 Locations: Aux Gym, Library

🗓️ December 6: Conflict Testers
📍 Location: TBD

Please ensure your student gets plenty of rest, arrives on time, and is ready to test. Your support helps set them up for success—thank you for partnering with us in this important effort! 💪

The holiday season is almost here, there will be just three short weeks left until Christmas break! While the excitement is building, this is a crucial time for our students to stay focused and finish the semester strong. Please remind your Tiger to focus on:

Follow Dress Code Guidelines: No crop tops or shirts that show midriffs (jackets cannot be used to cover our of dress code layers), No pajama pants or slippers. Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be no more than a dollar bill’s length above the knee.

Be in Class and on TIme Daily: students with over 9 absences in semester courses or 18 in year-long courses will be denied credit, even if they pass. Excessive absences will require makeup hours to meet graduation requirements.

Your support makes all the difference in helping our Tigers succeed. Let’s work together to make these last three weeks count! 🐾
