Enjoy Your Thanksgiving Break
Dear CCPS Families,
As we end the first marking period, I want to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families. It has been an exciting start to the school year, and I am proud of all the progress we've made together.
Schools hosted award ceremonies this week to honor our students' remarkable achievements. We are proud to share that 5,314 CCPS students received honor roll recognition! These events provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their academic success, and we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. Congratulations to all the students who were recognized!
On Wednesday, we hosted a special recognition gala to honor employees who have been with our school system for 30, 35, and 40 years. Their dedication and service to our community are truly inspiring, and we are grateful for their many years of commitment to our students and schools.
As we look ahead to the weekend, we wish good luck to our two high school football teams, Elkton High School and Perryville High School, as they compete in the semi-finals. We know that their hard work and determination will shine on the field, and we are cheering them on every step of the way.
Finally, I wish our families a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving break. I hope you enjoy this time with your loved ones and find moments to reflect on the many blessings we share as a community.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we are making this a great school year!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
