Colonial Park Weekly News
December 2 - December 6
Principal's Note
Dear Colonial Park Families -
Welcome to December! This is going to be a very fast month, that's for sure!
Last week, I shared the Giving Tree 2024 spreadsheet, which lists requested items from both our community and Casa Myrna, Boston's largest provider of services to survivors of domestic violence. I am attaching it below. If you would like to contribute, please sign up, and return the unwrapped gift, labeled with the code, by Friday, December 13. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Tomorrow, report cards and progress reports will be sent home with your child. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, December 4, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, and on Thursday, December 5, from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Once again, our Book Fair will be set up in the lobby all week, and our students will be visiting during their scheduled library time on Tuesday and Wednesday.
All three elementary schools have two upcoming Early Release Days in order to accomodate our conferences. Please note that both Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5, will have a 12:00 dismissal for students in grades K-4, and our preschool students will be dismissed at 11:40.
We have our next Goldie Gathering scheduled for this Friday, December 6. All staff and students are encouraged to wear Colonial Park or Stoneham Spirit Wear or a favorite blue shirt. We can't wait to gather as a school community!
I hope you have a wonderful week!
Best,
Rosa Flynn
