Message From Principal Kinney
We had another great week here at Fowler, and I appreciate all your support. Earlier this week, I sent an email to our middle school grades discussing the impact of social media on our students. While this issue primarily affects middle school, it is important for everyone to be mindful and consistent in checking their child’s social media accounts. Whenever any student or caregiver finds a social media group or post that appears to directly impact any students, we ask that the school administration be informed. These types of posts are not easy to monitor; however, having any level of awareness will help us should we need to intervene. This will also allow us to keep our school resource office informed.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Girls on The Run
Great news! We have received enough interest to "run" the Girls on the Run program. This is a community-run program for female students in grades 4 and 5 that Fowler School supports. The coaches are parents and community volunteers, not educators or administrators in Maynard Public Schools. The program is only for Fowler students. I fully support the program and believe in it! I have seen the GOTR program do magical things for students.
Deepika Prakash (Acton resident and GOTH rep/leader), Joanna Alizio, and Lisa McPhee. There will likely also be a Stow high school student who will help and perhaps more.

Maynard High School Theater Performance
The Theater Program in the Maynard Public Schools is GROWING!! We are excited to announce the creation of a new nonprofit, The Maynard Theater Association, to support student theater at Maynard High School and Fowler School. The Maynard Theater Association, through generous donations and grants, will provide funds that will increase the professionalism and scope of our theater program.
In part through the generosity of a Maynard Cultural Council grant, we reached our goal of new body microphones for each school for the 2025 musicals! Behind the scenes, many talented students and adults create magic out of thin air. But our theater program can shine by financial investments in live music, costumes, set design supplies, a new curtain, access to new musicals with licensing agreements, and more. WE NEED YOU!
For our inaugural year, we are asking for businesses, families, and supporters of the theater arts to donate to the Maynard Theater Association Fund!
Sponsorship Levels for 2024-25 school year:
Theater Titan: Donations of $500 +
Dynamic Director: Donations of $100- 499
Growth Guru: Donations of $5 -100
What you will get:
● Joy in knowing that you support local student theater!
● You will be honored in our Playbill for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, March, 2025 and other promotional materials
● Titan level receives - 4 free tickets (and free snacks!), Director level - 2 free tickets
● Tax deductible receipt for charitable gift
Stay tuned: For the 2025-26 school year, we will offer robust sponsorships and advertising in our Playbills.
Electronic payments are the easiest and most appreciated! Please use the QR code below for your tax-deductible donation! If needed, checks can be written to Maynard Theater Association, ℅ MHS, 1 Tiger Drive, Maynard MA 01754. Call Kerry Healy with questions at 617-596-1559.
