November Newsletter
Principals Message
Dear Hunley Park Families,
As we transition into the fall season, we want to keep you informed about all the exciting activities that took place in October and share updates about Hunley Park.
First, I’m thrilled to announce that the SC Report Cards for each school are now available. We are proud to maintain our "Good" school rating and continue to show growth in reading and math, improving from an average rating in academic achievement last year to a good rating this year. You can find the SC Report for this year here. Let’s celebrate this achievement together!
In October, we held our first house meeting and celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. Our scholars have been diving into a variety of subjects, including fairy tales, the five senses, the human body, different lands, animal classifications, personal narratives, empires, and ancient civilizations. The vocabulary and knowledge our students are acquiring are truly impressive!
We wrapped up the month with our Pumpkin Book Character Parade, Trunk or Treat hosted by Altruismo, and a screening of the movie *Coco*, coordinated by our parent liaisons and bilingual secretary.
As we conclude this month and the first quarter, please take a moment to review your child’s report card and feel free to schedule a meeting with their teacher if you have any concerns.
Looking ahead to November, we have some exciting events planned! Please learn more about those events featured in this month's newsletter. Thank you for being an integral part of our Hunley Park community. Your support and involvement make a significant difference in our children’s education and overall experience. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
Warm regards,
Dr. Gethers
