PARENT INFORMATION
LOST AND FOUND ITEMS
Has your child lost a jacket, shirt, even shoes in the last couple of months at school? If so, you might be able to find it in the lost and found bins in the cafeteria. Please encourage your child to check the bins this week Monday-Thursday. If you’d like to look yourself, please come into the office between 9-4 on any school day this week. You’ll have to check in using your ID, but, then you can make your way to the cafeteria and look through the bins. After Friday, June 14th any lost and found items left behind will be donated to a local charity. Thank you!
GRADE 6 IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
Dear Parent or Guardian of a current Grade 6 student:
The Maryland school immunization regulations (10.06.04) require children enrolled in school to show proof of having additional required immunizations.
All Grade 7 students must have both a Tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) and meningococcal (MCV) vaccine. Parents/Guardians are urged to provide to the health room the documentation of the Tdap and MCV immunizations as soon as possible this current school year, or before the first day of school next year.

Please pay your obligation so you can enjoy the end of the year events. Please also, keep in mind that these obligations go with you to high school and they WILL NOT provide you with your high school diploma if you owe MCPS money. Northwest is excited to offer a summer "Welcome to High School" experience for a select group of incoming Northwest 9th graders in August. We plan to run the session from 8/12/24-8/15/24 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The session will focus on students getting some SSL hours working together to complete a school beautification or other project in service to the school community, also an orientation opportunity focused on introducing students to the new school community with older peer models and school leadership staff. The students we hope to invite would meet some or all of the criteria listed below.
Rising 9th grade students who have:
- Received exclusionary discipline,
- Benefited from relationships with a trusted adult at their previous school,
- Been chronically absent,
- Received support through the Well-being team, Linkages to Learning, or Bridge to Wellness
All we need from you is a list of students who meet some or all of the criteria, and you think would benefit from the opportunity. Please send us a list of the students' names and ID#s and we will take care of connecting with their guardians and inviting them to attend. Please respond to this request no later than Monday, June 10th if you have any students we should invite.
Thanks,
Amy McClintock

He estado crónicamente ausente,
