Message from the Principal

As we wrap up another great year, it’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown. This year has been exciting for both our students and staff, and we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude.

Thank you to our students for making this year memorable. We also appreciate the support of parents, grandparents, and family members who have contributed to making Cortland Elementary a wonderful place for our students. Whether it was assisting with homework, school projects, or events, your involvement has been invaluable.

We take great pride in our school, and your support and participation reflect that same pride. Thank you for helping us achieve another successful year. We look forward to continuing our partnership in providing the best educational experience for our Cortland Eagles.

We can't wait to see their smiling faces back at school on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and relaxing summer vacation!

2025 - 2026 BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS

Want to skip back-to-school shopping this summer while saving up

to 20% compared to most major retailers? You can order a school

supply kit for a limited time with all the supplies your student will

need for their upcoming school year.

them up during open house

Pick up Meals

Sign up by Monday June 2nd for the first pick up on Thursday, June 5th @ Seymour Intermediate School

Meals served daily

Meals will be served at Seymour Middle School, Seymour High School, and Margaret Brown Elementary School.

Child Care Network - 25-26 Preschool

Preschool enrollment is open for the 2025-2026 school year. We have available spots at Cortland Elementary schools. Register your child today! Children must be 4 years old by August 1st to be eligible for registration.

Color Our World

Color our world this summer with the Jackson County Public Library! Log your reading to earn badges and rewards!

Challenges:

If you haven’t, please download the Box Tops for Education app and scan your grocery receipts after shopping! The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your school's earnings online.
