Every day we pick up a bunch of jackets off the playground and add them to our lost and found. Many of them are NOT labeled with student names. Please, please, please, label your student(s)' jackets/sweatshirts. We already have a new stack of jackets after taking the others to Goodwill. Please label your students' jackets.

Join us for our annual Family Science Night on Tuesday, January 28 from 5:30-7pm in the BCE cafeteria. Local organization STEM For Smarties will be presenting, and we'll have a few fun stations students can rotate through. This is a come-and-go event - we hope to see you there!

Calling all fathers and father figures! Watch Dogs is a national program designed to get dads and other male family members volunteering in the school, and we've brought it back to Brushy Creek! Fill out our Interest Form to learn more and how to sign up.

Library is kicking back off after the winter break! Please help your student locate any library books they checked out before the break to return to the library for new books. Below is a list of what days each class has library so you can help your student ensure their books are in their backpack to be returned each week.

Additionally, overdue notices from books that are late from the fall semester are being sent home through next week so if your student comes home with one, please help look for those books to return or contact the librarian, Ms. Marks, at hannah_marks@roundrockisd.org with any questions regarding how to pay for a replacement book if it is lost.

Parents are always asking how they can help our school. Below is a wish list for our teacher workroom. If you would like to donate any items we would greatly appreciate it.

There are lots of ways parents and family members can get involved at our school! Visit the PTA Volunteering page here and check out what works for you: recess monitoring, cafeteria monitoring, library volunteering, helping your child's teacher as a homeroom representative, making copies in the teacher workroom, and more! If you want to volunteer in a particular area, please make sure to sign up via our Sign-Up Geniuses. This helps the front desk know who to expect on what day. Thank you!

Register to volunteer by completing the volunteer application form. Applicants must use their legal name as it appears on their driver’s license or passport. You MUST have a Social Security Number to complete the online form.

To improve student safety, any person wishing to volunteer in Round Rock ISD is required to complete a Volunteer Application.

• Application must be renewed each school year
• Application should be completed as early as possible
• Application takes approximately five minutes to complete
• You must hit SUBMIT (not just ‘save’) for the application to be processed
• Applications take 72 hours to process
• Once completed, present your photo ID at the campus to be scanned into Raptor
• Check the status of your application by contacting the front office at your child’s campus

Please help us alleviate the amount of items we have in Lost and Found by labeling your child's items such as jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, and water bottles. This will help us immensely!! The Lost and Found has now been moved to the Blue Jay Cafe. Thank you for your help in this matter!

This letter is what we send home at the beginning of the year. It reviews our safety procedures as well as our mandatory safety drill protocols. We wanted to include it in the blast so if your child comes home and says they had a drill this week, you could pull this letter up to refer to.
