The GVMS Heritage Fest 2025 will take place on Thursday, March 06, 2025. There will be language learning, interactive games, cultural trivia, creative storytelling, crafts, live performances, and music featured from around the world.

The event will be held at the GVMS Gym. Set-up time is from 7:30am - 8:00am. The event will be throughout the duration of the 1/2 school day, (class periods are 24mins each). Clean-up time is from 10:45am - 11:00am. The deadline to sign up was February 20th. A table will be provided for your display and parents are encouraged to participate.

Last week, the Hiking Club and Envirothon teams joined up to have a zoom meeting with a representative from Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska. The young woman spoke about the park, the studies they are doing there, the geography of the land, the indigenous history, Leave No Trace, and how to be a responsible hiker. The students were then able to ask questions and learned a lot about the wildlife and what life is like in this incredible park.

Through March 3rd, the GVMS PTO is selling Little Caesars Pizza kits (options include cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, a gluten-free option, a thin-crust option, crazy bread, and cookies)

Kits will be delivered directly to your home via FedEx and shipped via a cooler box within 7-10 days of purchase. The kits can be stored in your fridge for up to 7 days OR if you don't need them right away, just put a Little Caesar in your freezer!

Vrishank Cherukuri participated in the Chester County Spelling Bee on Monday, February 10th, 2025. He advanced to the 4th and final level of the championship round and achieved an impressive second-place finish in all of Chester County. Congratulations to Vrishank on this outstanding accomplishment!

On Saturday, 14 members of the GVMS MathCounts club competed against over 140 mathletes in the Chester County MathCounts competition. It was a day filled with several rounds of challenging math problems and the students did very well. As a team, they earned 5th place out of the 14 schools that were in attendance and represented our school admirably. Congrats to all members of the club on an outstanding performance!
