Our Week at Reutter School
Weeks of January 27, 2025 and February 3, 2025
School Counselor's Message
Dear Reutter School Families,
No Name-Calling Week is observed during the third week of January, with this year’s event taking place from January 20-24. This initiative aims to bring national attention to the issue of name-calling in schools, encouraging both students and adults to inspire one another and foster ongoing conversations about eliminating name-calling in our communities.
Caroline Reutter School proudly participates in this important project each year as an opportunity to reinforce our expectations for respectful behavior. This week serves as a reminder and allows us to build upon our ongoing efforts to cultivate a yearlong climate of respect. During the week, a No Name-Calling Week table will be set up during lunch, offering resources and activities for students and staff. We will also encourage everyone to take the "Celebrate Kindness" Pledge and sign their names in unity.
We are excited to be part of No Name-Calling Week, reinforcing our commitment to creating a respectful and caring environment for all.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Lauren Roberts
Caroline Reutter School Counselor
REMINDER - School will be closed on February 14 and February 17.

Gloucester County Superior Court Judge William Ziegler Inspires Students at Reutter School
Caroline L. Reutter School welcomed Gloucester County Superior Court Judge William Ziegler on January 16, 2025, for an engaging and thought-provoking presentation on Civil Justice. This event was part of Reutter School’s nationally recognized Character Development Program, which promotes values such as kindness, respect, and empathy. Judge Ziegler’s visit provided a meaningful opportunity for students to reflect on these principles and their role in creating a fair and inclusive society. The Reutter School community extends its gratitude to Judge Ziegler for his impactful visit and for inspiring the next generation of leaders to think critically about civil justice and equality.
Miss Kievit's sixth-grade ELA classes are diving into nonfiction texts, mastering reading strategies to analyze and uncover deeper understandings.
In Reutter's 5th Grade Art classes, artists investigated the history behind rubber ducks, learning that their original use was to get children to take baths. The first patent was filed by Peter Ganine in 1947 and continues to be a collection item today. Artists were asked to design their rubber ducky out of clay, learning about clay techniques, color mixing, and how to manipulate clay tools.
There will be a Reutter School PTO and Parent Advisory Council meeting on January 28 at 7 PM in the school's cafeteria.
