Just a quick reminder that students planning to attend LAPS during the 2025-2026 school year should complete the registration process. This includes new and returning students, kindergarten and preschool. Go to www.laschools.net/registration for more information and to register using either a computer or smartphone.
The Returning student registration form is available through the parent PowerSchool portal at https://laps.powerschool.com/public
Almost 50% of eligible returning students have completed registration for the 2025-2026 school year. It would be greatly appreciated if we could reach 100% (3,395) by April 15.
All students planning to attend any LAPS site must complete the registration process. Students in grades 6th-11th who completed course selection are also required to complete the returning student registration form, as this is in addition to course selection. Please make sure to select the 2025-2026 school year when registering.

For Parents and Guardians
Is It Bullying?
At Los Alamos Public Schools, we strive to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. One important step in achieving this goal is understanding the difference between a mean moment, a conflict, and bullying. While disagreements and unkind behavior may happen, true bullying is repeated, intentional, and involves a power imbalance.
To help parents and students recognize and respond to bullying, we are sharing the "Is it Bullying?" brochure, which provides clear definitions, warning signs, and strategies for prevention and support. We take bullying seriously and are committed to supporting both the victim and the offender by fostering accountability, growth, and positive change.
If you suspect bullying, we encourage you to report it to your childās principal, classroom teacher, or school counselor. Together, we can create a culture of kindness and respect in our schools.
