LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

WOW, what a quick year it has been. It's incredible to think that we are looking at the last ten days of school. It has been an outstanding year at PK8 filled with memorable learning, activities, friendships, and great experiences for students and teachers.

The last week of school (May 20-24) is always a busy time, with many activities. Here is a list of the events we have planned to celebrate the close of another school year.

Mon, May 20 - Fri, May 24: K-8 Sprit Week

• Monday is Sandwich Day (crazy hair/hat and crazy shoes/socks)
• Tuesday is Twin Day (or teacher/student SWAP day)
• Wednesday is Decade's Day (choose your favorite decade 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's)
• Thursday is Community Service Day (wear boots, jeans, gloves to help clean up our campus)
• Friday is Red and Black Day

Tuesday, May 21

• 11:00-12:30: 2nd-6th Grade 4th Quarter AR Reward Party - Picnic in Town Park

Wednesday, May 22

• 11:00-3:00: 2nd-6th Grade AR Swim Party at Bill Heddles Rec Center

Thursday, May 23

• 8:30-10:30: K-8 Community Service Day (activities include garden spruce up, painting P on P Hill, Nature Trail maintenance, parking lot/playground cleanup
• 1:15: 6th Grade Performance
• 2:00-3:30: K-8 Awards Ceremony (Honors Reader, Million Words Club, IXL Recognition, MS Sports Participation, Middle School Academic Awards)

Friday, May 24

• 8:15-10:30: Field Day
• 10:30-11:00: Lunch Service
• 11:00-11:45: 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony (all students attend)
• 11:45: Dismissal for All Students

Keep an eye our on our school website and calendar for any potential changes to our schedule.

We have dozens of hoodies and jackets (most of them middle school sized)

Our next PPO meeting is Monday, May 13th at 3:45pm.

• 6 Hour Food Service Cook (may be combined with Bus Driver to get to 8 Hour position)
• 4 Hour Food Service Cook (may be combined with Bus Driver to get to 8 Hour position)
• 8 Hour Custodian
