Monday, October 14th
ZAP Continues: All assignments marked as !MISSING in the Powerschool gradebook will be referred to the ZAP Program. A Missing Assignment Report will pulled prior to 10:00 a.m. each Monday morning. Notifications will be delivered to students & an email/phone call sent to students/guardian. To get signed out of ZAP, students will need to complete the assignment with full effort, fill out a green get out of ZAP form located at the office window and have the teacher sign the form between passing periods/before-after school/during the class you are zap'd for and then return it to the office. (See handbook for more information).
JH Eligibility Continues. Parents/guardians of any JH student who currently has a failing (F) grade will be notified of in-eligibility via school reach text message and email.

Information About Parent Teacher Conferences & Student Led Conferences
7th-12th grade families -
Please be on the look out for an email this week from your student(s) RISE Group Leader about sign up for Student Led Conferences. Although we know it is a big change, we are excited to offer this opportunities for our students and families during this school year and appreciate your participation! Please see the email example below that will be coming from your student's leader. Our student will be working hard of the next two weeks to prepare slides and their leadership portfolio to share with their familiy. Student's recieve a semester elective credit for their Relationships and Personal Development course that is taught during RISE Time. Participation in student led conferences will be for a grade in this course.

Dear 9th grade families,
CJSHS is excited to offer student-led conferences this fall. The objective of the conferences is to encourage students to share about their current performance in school and about their future plans. Our goal is to reach 100% of our families, therefore we want to make every effort to encourage your participation.
We have time slots from 5:00 - 6:00 on October 30th and November 6th. To schedule your student’s conference appointment, please CLICK HERE (link to conference sign up will be inserted).
We will also send an email the week of October 21 to confirm the time of the conference.

USD 462 Late Start Days for 2024-2025 School Year

Doors Open - 10:00 a.m.
School Begins - 10:10 a.m.
Will have an adjusted bell schedule where students will attend all 7 class periods.
As part of our district systems of improvement plan for continued school wide accreditations, the USD 462 staff will be meeting six times throughout the school year to conduct professional learning focused on student data, instructional practices, and other essential training. School provided transportation will run approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes later to pick up locations on the scheduled late start days. We will have support staff available to watch students at the normal start time for families in need of child care. Please reach out if you would like to make alternate arrangments for your student for transporation or care, we want to make sure everyone is able to be in attendance on late start days. For questions or more information please contact your building principal.
Silent Auction
The Central Football Program is doing a blind bid auction at the last two Jr High home games ( Oct 10th & 17th) and the last varstiy home game (Oct 18th). The program is auctioning off 1 helmet shield at each of the Jr High games and 2 at the Varsity game. Minimum/opening bid is $100.00 . Blind bidding will begin at the prior to kick-off and end after the game.
