Curriculum Nights
We look forward to welcoming our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade families on September 18 for their Curriculum Night. For those who were unable to attend the earlier sessions, HERE is the administrative slide deck that was presented during the first session. We will also be sharing grade-level specific presentations with you shortly after the curriculum night, so please be on the lookout for those.
Recess
If anyone is interested in getting rid of gently used sports equipment, please email Rob Rendon (rendon@ogschool.org). Please note that this would not include items such as hockey sticks or baseball bats.
Save The Date!
Get ready to dance the night away! The Student Council is excited to announce our upcoming Halloween school dance on October 25 from 6:00 pm - 8 pm for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in the Jr. High Cafe. This will be a night filled with fun, friends, and fantastic music. All students are welcome, and proceeds from ticket sales will go towards supporting future Student Council events. Fall Testing Reports
FastBridge reports for students in grades K & 1 and i-Ready reports for students in grades 2-8 will be emailed home on Friday, September 20.
Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
As we welcome the 2024-2025 school year, I would like to see if you’re interested in joining the DEI committee. This committee is comprised of community members, staff, and administration who collaborate to best support our students and foster an inclusive environment. If you’re interested in joining the committee, please contact Ryan Murray at murray@ogschool.org.
Early Morning Library Hours for Grades 5-8
The Jr. High Library will now be open for students in grades 5-8 from 7:30-8:15 Monday-Thursday. Students enter through door 1 in the main office and must report straight to the library. This opportunity will be limited to 25 students each morning. We hope that students enjoy this opportunity to start their days in a more quiet environment.

9/18/24 - Curriculum Night Grades 6-8 from 6:00 - 8:009/19/24 - Early Release Day. Students dismissed at 11:30.

- Culver’s Night this Tuesday September 17! The PTO is partnering with Libertyville Culver’s and Honor Society volunteers from 5-8pm for a dine and donate night. We hope to see you there!
- Get your Caramel Apple on! The PTO is thrilled to partner with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory to offer delicious caramel apples and chocolates. Order HERE through October 18.
