Notes From the Principal
Hi Stuart Mesa Parents,
We will have minimum days for Parent Conferences. If you haven't signed up with your student's teacher, please contact them as soon as possible. All TK-5 parents will meet with their student's teacher. In Middle School, conferences are scheduled for students who are struggling with their academics. If you are a middle school parent who has not been contacted for a conference, but would still like to meet with your student's teachers, please reach out to Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Gowing, or Ms. Keeler to set up the conference.
We will participate the California "Great Shake Out" on Thursday, Oct. 17th at 10:17 AM. The schools across the whole state of California will be participating.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. We understand that bullying has devastating effects on children and families such as school avoidance, loss of self-esteem, increased anxiety, and depression. This Wednesday in National Diversity Day and we are asking all staff and students to wear Orange to remind everyone to be kind, be accepting of others, and include everyone. At the end of the month, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week which included making healthy choices for the body and mind, and creating healthy relationships. Bullying is a topic we will be addressing during Red Ribbon Week also. There are some resources below for parents.
Have a wonderful week!
Sincerely,
Dr. Heffernan
