Student Leadership Representative - Diego Sandoval
A big thank you to Sophomore Diego Sandoval, who served as the Student Leadership Representative in this last Board Meeting. You did a great job informing the Community about the happenings at STHS.
Iridescent Desert Warriors - History in the Making
For the first time in history, your STHS Iridescent Diamonds won THIRD PLACE at WGI PHOENIX. Congratulations and way to go Desert Warriors and Coach Amanda Granados. Thank you to Mr Corona for chaperoning the trip.

Track has Started
Big Shout Out to all Track Athletes and Coaches Bowron and Alvarado for showing up to this Season's first Track Meet at GHS. There were 13 schools present and ST was ready to compete.

STHS Teacher of the Year - Ms. M. Arroyo
Congratulations to Ms. Arroyo who was nominated by the Desert Warriors and voted by her colleagues to embody the spirit of the STHS core purpose: Make a Difference in Students' Lives.

We want to give Ms. Kira Leon a positive SHOUT OUT:
Screencastify was turned off this morning and I was upset about this since I planned to record my class for my HRT course. I told Kira around 8:30 a.m. and by 9:10 a.m., the extension was back and ready to be used again. I appreciate her swift action. Thank you Ms. Kira for ensuring that our technology is up and running.

- Shoutout to Mrs. Valencia because she sponsors Senior class and it is a big job! She has worked hard with the seniors all year and works hard preparing for graduation. Thank you Mrs. Valencia!

Social Emotional Learning National Week - March 3 - 7
To raise awareness of the importance of SEL, each day there will be a focus on a core competency through the announcements and wearing a specific color. Below I am including the 5 core competencies with the represented color to wear.

Equity Council Meeting - March 4

Down Syndrome Awareness Week - March 17-21
Down Syndrome Awareness Week is an important time for our STHS community to come together to celebrate the uniqueness, abilities, and potential of individuals with Down syndrome. This week serves as an opportunity to educate students and staff about Down syndrome, promote inclusivity, and foster a culture of acceptance and understanding. By raising awareness, we can work to eliminate misconceptions, challenge stereotypes, and create a more supportive environment for everyone, regardless of their abilities. Let’s embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and support one another in creating a more inclusive and compassionate school community.
