A Note from the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well and enjoying the spring season. As we continue to strive for excellence in education and community engagement, we wish to update you on several important dates and initiatives in the coming days.
ONEHS Canned Food Drive Success
A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for your generous support of the ONEHS Canned Food Drive Fundraiser Dance. Your contributions not only made the event a success but also demonstrated the strength and compassion of our community. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those in need.
World Autism Awareness Day
In recognition of World Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, we encourage students to wear their blue uniform polo shirts. This act of solidarity is a beautiful way to show support for individuals with autism and their families. Thank you in advance for participating in this important cause.
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day
Wednesday, April 2, 2024 is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day. Help us celebrate the paraprofessionals that help us with your children day in and day out.
End of Year Awards Ceremonies
We know that it is important to be able to plan ahead. Please see the End of Year Awards Ceremonies schedule flyer below. We look forward to celebrating all of our Ocelots after another wonderful year of learning and growth.
Dress Code Reminder
As we approach the next week, please be reminded that there will be no dress-up days. It is essential that all students adhere to the regular dress code. We kindly ask for your cooperation to ensure that your child(ren) come to school in their appropriate uniform, as outlined below:
- Bottoms: Khaki, Navy, or BLUE jean pants, shorts, or skirts. (Please note, no black bottoms are allowed.)
- Tops: Red, navy blue, or white polo-style shirts from Monday to Friday. On Thursdays, students may wear college/university attire, and on Fridays, they can wear their school spirit shirts.
- Outerwear: All jackets/sweaters must have a zipper. (Please note, no hoodies are allowed.)
We appreciate your continued support and cooperation in maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment for all our students. Should you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Jennifer Garcia

Important Reminders for OES Families
☑️Dress Code Reminders☑️
As per district policy, all sweaters/jackets must have an opening in the front (zipper, buttons, or cardigan style). For safety purposes, NO pull-over style sweaters are allowed.
👀👀Parents of 5th Grade Students: 👀👀
Please provide a friendly reminder to your child to keep their shirts tucked in during the school day. A majority of students have already started to wear belts as well, but please keep in mind that by January 8, 2024, ALL 5th-grade students will be required to have their shirts tucked in AND wear a belt. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
📵📵Cell Phone/Electronic Device Usage📵📵
📃As per district policy, cell phone use is not allowed on campus. Please be advised that all students have been given a warning not to use their cell phones/electronic devices before, during, or after school.
👀If students are found using their device, their device will be confiscated and a parent will be required to pick up the device from the front office. If another infraction is noted, as per district policy, a fee will be enforced in order to retrieve the device.
☑️Please speak with your child about this policy to ensure they understand. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
⌚📵 Smart Watch Policy Reminder 📵⌚
As a friendly reminder, please note that smart watches with cell phone connectivity are not allowed to be worn by students, as per page 58 of the Student Code of Conduct. If a student is found wearing such a device at school, it will be confiscated, and a parent will be responsible for coming to pick it up. In the event of a repeated offense, a fee will be required to collect the device. We thank you for your attention to this matter and for helping us maintain a focused and conducive learning environment.
