Chromebook Check Out
Chromebook check out will be Monday August 19th and Tuesday the 20th. Students will be taken during their English classes to check out a Chromebook. We are a one to one school so every student is issued a Chromebook for their school work. Chromebooks are 275$ to replace so parents/guardians are strongly recommended to purchase 30$ Chromebook insurance which can be purchased in the finance office or through myschoolfees.com. Insurance covers accidental damage.
Picture Day
Picture Day is on August 20th. Students will be called down to take pictures during their math class. You can purchase pictures by clicking the picture to the right. Use prepay code: SalemJH24. Picture retakes will take place on September 26th.
National Junior Honors Society
National Jr. Honor Society is a program for 6-9th graders. To be considered for membership, applicants must reach the five standards which include leadership, citizenship, character, service, and scholarship. This gives students the possibility of a scholarship and is a great resume booster. Students must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA at the end of last year to be eligible. Applications for the National Junior Honor Society are available in the counseling office and will be due by September 25th.
New SaJHS Community Council Members
Congratulations to our newest parent members of the School Community Council, Sarah Hixson and Melissa Beutler! We are excited to have them join returning parent members Joanna Wilkins and James Wilhelm to serve as community voice in the decisions the school makes regarding school improvement and budgeting of the Utah School Land Trust funds. Meetings are held the second Thursday of the month and information regarding council meetings can be found on the School Community Council page of our website. Due to only having two nominations this year, elections will not need to be held. If you have an interest in joining the council for the 2025-26 school year, nominations will be accepted starting in August of 2025.
