💭 Superintendent's Message
Dear Northfield School District Families:
As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, May 24, or Monday, May 27.
Friday, May 24 is a teacher work day and there is no school for students. Monday, May 27 is Memorial Day and students return on Tuesday, May 28.
Memorial Day is a solemn occasion when we honor those who gave what President Lincoln called “the last full measure of devotion” to their nation. You can learn more about the Memorial Day holiday at the National Archives website.
You can also be part of celebrating the holiday in our community. There is a community event on Monday, May 27, beginning at 9 am in Veterans Park. In the case of rain, the event will be moved to the Skoglund Center on the St. Olaf College campus.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday weekend!
Sincerely,
Matt
