Corron Mission Statement
From the Principal
These three days with all of our in person students here with us have been a blessing. We are definitely missing our students who are learning remotely, though, and hope to have everyone under one roof at some point this year. I know that parents have all chosen the learning situation that meets the needs of their families. I hope that no matter what choice you made, things are going well for your learner. Please continue to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Now that we have all of our K-5 classes in school, I’d like some parent feedback regarding drop off and pick up. We made some changes this year in order to keep students at a safe distance. From our end things are working well, but I’d like to hear some parent perspectives so that we can address any concerns. Please take a minute to complete this survey if you have any feedback to share. Thank you!
Enjoy your weekend!

Daily Certification requirement
Please remember that you need to certify your child every morning before they arrive at school. This requires filling out the online Self-Certification form. After that is completed you can sign your child’s tag. If students haven’t been certified, they are not allowed to be in the classroom.

Curriculum Nights
Due to the fact that we started school later, Curriculum Nights have been moved to September 8th for K-2 and September 10th for 3-5. Our format will look quite different than in the past. Teachers will be sending out a recorded presentation before the end of the day Friday, September 4th. Along with the presentation, they will share a survey for parents to fill out with questions after they have viewed the presentation. Then on the assigned evening, teachers will hold two separate sessions (6:00 and 6:30) to address the questions that were sent in. They will be speaking specifically to their own curriculum and routines for their grade level.
Mrs. Balaskovits will also be sending out a presentation reviewing our vision and goals. If there are questions that are specific to our new procedures or expectations schoolwide, please email those to her and she can address those that are common and for the good of all families in her presentation.
Remote Curriculum Night
The dates for curriculum nights for our remote learners are September 8 for K-2 and September 10 for 3-5. Your child’s teacher will send additional information regarding curriculum nights.
From the Health Office
Please see the latest info from the IDPH Exclusion Guidline below.
Devices charged and brought back each night
Now that all of our students are 1:1 with devices, the expectation is that they bring their device home each night to charge it. We do not have the capacity to do that here at school, and some of their assignments will require use of technology. Please be sure to remind your child to charge their iPad or Chromebook, then have them put it back in their backpack to bring to school each day.

Chat
A live chat service is available for device and system support. This is the best way for families to receive fast technical support for district devices and services. The virtual IT team will be available to assist Monday-Friday between 8:00am - 4:00pm, but if you leave a message, support staff will follow up the next business day. Chat support can be accessed by going to https://helpdesk.d303.org/chat/
