🔆Happy Saturday,

We had a great first week back from Spring Break. We started with an all-school baby duck hunt throughout the day on Monday, traveled on Wednesday with 5th grade to the Veterans Museum and Capitol, and ended the week with professional musicians playing Scandinavian music for our school.

We have Bridging Brighter Smiles coming on Tuesday and Wednesday for spring cleaning. The Statewide tornado drill is on Thursday. And, the annual Spring Fling Dance is on FRIDAY from 5:30 - 7:00! It's going to be a fun filled week!

What better way to end the week than to have The Hejmakers share their traditional Scandinavian instruments, tunes, and stories today with our 3rd grade classes and then with our entire school.

We held our first annual Kegonsa Duck Hunt on Monday, 4/1. Baby ducks, school-aged ducks, and flamingo dunks were hidden all around the school, both inside and out. The grade-level who found the most ducks WON. Congratulations to 4th Grade who found and turned in over 300 ducks. We had so much FUN!!

SASD’s Board of Education is seeking community members to serve on the Finance & Facilities Committee, Community Relations Committee, and Climate & Culture Committee for the 2024-2025 school year (May-April). CESA 2 is looking to hire instructors to work specifically with students in Stoughton. The posting is on WECAN, Indeed, and the cesa2.org website.

What does belonging look and feel like to you? How do we create a community of equity and belonging? Join us for a Restorative Communities of Care Series where we will explore themes of restorative justice, identity, and connection to one another.
