Superintendent's Message

Loveland Tiger Families,


We had a great start to the school year last week, and this week will be even better. Everyone will start settling into routines, and getting up in the morning might even be easier!


This year, we will continue listening to our community about how we can improve our district. I hope every family will take the time to complete our 2024-25 Community Survey. This quick survey has questions about our #beLOVEland Strategic Vision goals. It gives district leadership important feedback about how we are reaching those goals. Follow this link to complete the survey - it should only take a few minutes.


This is also the last call to join our 2024-25 Community Advisory Team (CAT). This group will meet four times this year for deeper conversations about school-related topics. It’s a great opportunity to spend time with your neighbors and take an active role in helping build the future of Loveland City Schools. Submit your CAT application, and learn more about our community engagement efforts at lovelandschools.org/engage.

Mobile App - Important Reminder

Our Loveland City Schools mobile app is no longer operational - please delete it from your smartphone. Our website went through a refresh over the summer, and the old mobile app is no longer being supported. You can get all the information you need on your phone by simply visiting lovelandschools.org - the new site looks great on mobile!

During our back-to-school kick-off with staff last week, Loveland City Schools awarded the first-ever “Distinguished Faculty Award” to Linda Slusher. Linda is a Loveland High School graduate from the class of 1960 who returned to Loveland for a career in education. She was a teacher and librarian at Loveland Middle School from 1965-1970 and a Media Center Specialist at Loveland High School from 1970-2002. She also played a vital role in the Loveland Schools Foundation as a founding member and then Executive Director from 2002-2024. Her lifetime of dedication to our district and our students makes her a perfect person to receive the Distinguished Faculty Award.
