We are thrilled to welcome our new additions to the PHS family. I'm excited to welcome Matt, Tammy, and Penny to our staff. All three bring a wealth of educational experience, expertise, and strong abilities to build relationships with our students. We are looking forward to the upcoming year and hope all of our students and families enjoy the remainder of the summer. Please always feel free to reach out if you need anything.

Remember: School Starts August 15th and Freshman Orientation is Monday July 29th @ 6PM. Parents & Students will meet in the Reimer Center at the high school.

Share a little about your background. Work, family, etc.

My wife, Chelsea, teaches math at Moore HS, and we have two boys, Robinson (3) and Porter (1). I have been teaching math at various levels for the last 11 years, with previous stops at Lexington and Moore.

Where did you attend school? High School and/or College.

2006 graduate of Purcell; 2013 graduate of Oklahoma State

What are your hobbies and interests?

I really enjoy spending time with my family at home, watching sports, and spending time in the gym. My wife and I also love to travel where we can get out and hike.

Name a good movie you've watched or good book you've read lately:

Book: Grit by Angela Duckworth; movie: Hitman & Oppenheimer

Identify something about Purcell High School or the community that made you want to work here:

It became a quick second home when I moved down in HS, and the community was so gracious and welcoming. Given that, my family ties, and the tremendous pride I have in the basketball program, this has always been on my “list” of head jobs to have.

Share a little about your background. Work, family, etc.

I've been in the schools since I graduated in 1977. I love teaching and I love the kids and school has always been my home away from home. I have two grown children and one of them is a teacher. My husband and I have just moved to Goldsby and we are really enjoying it here.

Where did you attend school? High School and/or College.

I attended high school and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I love Maurice's, Cato, and cats! And I enjoy walking my dog.

Name a good movie you've watched or good book you've read lately:

I went to the movie twisters recently and I've read the book night of the twisters that took place in Grand Island Nebraska.

What is a fun or interesting fact that people may be surprised to know about you?

I taught English in Japan.

I've heard there are fire breathing dragons around here!

My husband and I have lived in OK 30 yrs. We have a son and daughter and 4 grandchildren . I have 20 yrs experience working in the schools.

Where did you attend school? High School and/or College.

Osceola, AR

What are your hobbies and interests?

Our granddaughters and grandsons sport activities and sewing.

What is a fun or interesting fact that people may be surprised to know about you?

I’m the youngest of 13 children in my family.

Being involved in my granddaughters school activities at Purcell schools and meeting some of the wonderful people that work there.
