The purpose of The Social Committee is to foster a cohesive community by organizing fun, interesting events for the entire community so neighbors can meet and socialize with each other.

Our goal is to plan events for the neighborhood every quarter!

Greetings to all! My name is April. Hope everyone is enjoying their experience here in Highbridge. My goals as a member of this committee is to bring awareness & promote unity. Fun fact About Me: I am a photographer & I love scary movies. Until next time, Live, Laugh and Love.

Hey y’all!! My name is Laila and I am one of the newest members of the Highbridge social committee. I am a first time mom to a beautiful baby boy! Originally I am from Cleburne, Texas but moved to Mesquite in 2021 to live with my boyfriend 🙂 We bought our house in November of 2023 and we love it here! Currently, I am a preschool teacher but the goal is to one day get my esthetician license. I love to create events for others to enjoy and make memories at. I love giving back to my community and helping those around me. :)

Hi my name is Nikita, I’m new to the social committee. I’ve been in the community for two years! I enjoy taking walks and finding new things to do! I’m excited to join the team and create exciting activities to bring our community together.

Hello Highbridge! I am Phillip and am excited to continue as a part of this committee to help plan events for our community! I have been planning events for the last 11 years in the world of education and look forward to helping make our community the best it can be!

What

Starting at 7:30pm on August 10th, The Highbridge Community Social Committee will be giving out up to 70 backpacks full of school supplies to K-12 students who are Highbridge Residents. A photo booth will be available for family photos in the grassy area, as well as a food truck on-site, handing out wing plates, with a side of fries, and a drink (Water bottles, Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Diet Dr. Pepper) to the first 150 Highbridge residents! The DJ/Movie company will also be giving out Snow cones to the first 150 Highbridge residents, and at 8:45pm they will host the movie night with a showing of Kung Fu Panda 4 in the grassy area!

***All children/students and accompanying adults must be Highbridge Residents.

***Backpacks and food will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.

***Food and drink may continued to be purchased after the 150 meals are given out.

***Bring chairs and blankets for the movie. We kindly ask that chair be set-up towards the back for the blanket only viewers in the front.
