School Social Work Support at Conferences
Hello, Parents & Guardians of WSE Students!!
I’d like to introduce myself as one of the School Social Workers employed by Otsego Public Schools for the past three years. I am new to Washington Street Elementary, but do have 10 years of experience working in the schools. I am eager to get to know students and parents!
During Parent Teacher Conferences, I will be available for FREE consultation and support with resources on a variety of social and emotional topics your child may benefit from. Feel free to stop by my area in the main lobby. If you’re interested in scheduling a private consultation, please email me at smaxwell@otsegops.org so we can set a time.
Below are a variety of topics we could discuss:
- Improve your child’s social, emotional, and/or behavioral skills
- Community resources
- Students in transitional housing
- Alleviating family stress due to student behaviors at home
- Anxiety and Depression affecting our students today
- School avoidance and/or adjustment to school
- Much more!!
