DRAGON TALES
From the desk of Mr. Linski

PRINCIPAL LINSKI NOTES - Week of November 1, 2024
Dear ISAAC Families,
We’d like to remind you that there will be no school on Tuesday, November 6th due to a scheduled professional development day for our teachers.
In the spirit of the season, we are excited to announce that our ISAAC Thanksgiving Turkey Drive is now in full swing! This annual tradition is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together to support ISAAC families and members of our community in need. Your contributions make a meaningful difference, helping everyone enjoy a warm and nourishing Thanksgiving meal.
Thank you for your continued support of our school and our mission. We wish you a peaceful November and look forward to the special moments that come with the season of gratitude.
Warm regards,
Bill Linski
ISAAC Middle School Honors Veterans with Annual Breakfast Celebration
New London, CT -Each year on November 11, Americans across the nation pause to honor the courageous men and women who have selflessly served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Veterans Day, a poignant national observance marking the end of World War I, provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have steadfastly protected our freedoms.
This year, ISAAC Middle School is joining in this tradition with a heartfelt tribute. The school, along with its ISAAC Leadership Club, invites local veterans to a special breakfast to express appreciation for their service and dedication. Hosted in ISAAC’s own Dragon Café, the Veterans Day Breakfast will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. With a spread of homemade baked goods provided by Mirsina's Restaurant in Old Saybrook, CT, the event promises to be both a delicious and meaningful celebration.
Bobby Harris, ISAAC’s Director of Safety, Security, and Residency, is leading the charge. Himself a Navy veteran who served from 1988 to 2008 as a Logistics Specialist, Harris emphasized the importance of the occasion, saying, “This is a great event for our past and present military families.”
The breakfast is open to all veterans and active-duty service members within the ISAAC school community. Those interested in attending are encouraged to reach out to Mr. Harris, who can be contacted directly at 860-447-1003 for reservations or additional information. Veterans are asked to bring an active military card or DD214 paperwork to confirm their service. Please use the link below to signup today!
This gathering offers ISAAC Middle School and the surrounding community an opportunity to pay tribute to these remarkable heroes, acknowledging the profound impact of their commitment and service.
