ERD Family Smore
Week of September 9, 2024 #growingGREATNESS
The Title I Meeting Begins at 4:00 in the Cafeteria; Open House begins at 4:30.
OUR NEW CAR TAGS HAVE ARRIVED!
The new tags will be sent home soon, and once they have been sent home:
All old and temporary tags should be thrown away by the parent. Old tags will no longer be accepted.
The parent will get 2 tags for FREE
Any additional tags can be purchased at a cost of 1 for $3 or 2 for $5
Please be patient.... it's going to be a process. But it will be easier for the students, as there will be no more four-digit numbers to remember for car dismissal, and it may even cut down dismissal time overall because of fewer digits to call out, which would be a win for all. :-)
-Please send your child/ren to school with a water bottle every day.
-We are not a 100% peanut-free school, but if your child's teacher has conveyed to you that her/his classroom is peanut-free due to a student in the classroom with a peanut allergy, please respect the health of that child and refrain from sending peanut-containing foods to school with your child.
Take in and Dismissal Reminders
We cannot make changes to afternoon pickups over the phone. This must be done in writing, and we must be able to verify it. Please take care of this as soon as possible in the day. Changes will not be accepted after 2:00.
Please do not drop off children on Sunset or anywhere on University or Bit and Spur, or in the parking lot. It simply isn't safe and we don't have the capacity to escort the children. If your child is a walker but you choose to drop them off, they are to be dropped off in the regular car line. No student, for any reason, should be dropped off anywhere else.
PreK students will be dropped off during regular morning drop-off.
Please feel free to stand outside of your car (not near the school buildings) when we are loading cars so your child can better see you.
If you come to the front door to pick up your child during afternoon carpool, you will have to wait until 3:15 before we will pull your child. Stopping to address the checking of IDs for individual pickup slows down the carpool process greatly. EVERYONE has places to be and things to do.
IMPORTANT ADDITION TO CAR POOL GUIDELINES
When you are leaving the parking lot after dropping off, please observe the first stop sign in front of the gym and on the way out and wait to be directed to move forward. If you pull all the way up to Bit and Spur before the crossing guard is ready, the buses and other cars cannot get into the car pool lanes, and the entire process is held up.
