We had a BLAST at our WELCOME BACK TRACK PARTY! It was so fun to reconnect with old and new friends.Thank you to all of our PMES families who came out to spend the evening with us! We hope to host more events like this in the future!

PMES PTA Membership Drive

September means it is time for our PTA Membership Drive! We will be holding a competition between the classes to see which class has the highest percentage of students represented in PTA membership. The winning class will get a popsicle party! Join us over on our Facebook page where we will be highlighting the many ways that our PTA contributes to the learning community we have at PMES! In the meantime, here are some of the ways you can play a role in our school’s success:

Join the PTA. This is a simple step that you can take on our Totem site. It only costs $7 per child, parent, or family member to join (plus a $1 processing fee), and you are not required to attend meetings. As a PTA member, you can serve on one of our committees, vote on matters brought before the PTA, benefit from several discounts, or simply show that you support our school. Volunteer. Our programs are only successful because of our volunteers! We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from those that can be done at home to those that require a few hours at school and those that require lots of time at school. We offer many opportunities to be involved, so sign up to volunteer in a way that works for you.

5TH GRADE NIGHT AT URBAN AIR

Calling all 5th graders! Join us for a night of bouncing and climbing at our first 5th grade event of the school year!

When: Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 from 5-8pm

Where: Urban Air Adventure Park, 3480 Financial Center Way, Buford, GA 30519

Purchase an Ultimate Attraction Pass ($29.99) or a Platinum Attraction Pass ($38.49) and mention that you're a Puckett's Mill student, and Urban Air will donate 20% of their proceeds back to PMES! Tickets must be purchased at the door and all participants must complete a waiver. Paper waivers were sent home in Friday folders on 8/23 so you can complete those and bring them with you to Urban Air to expedite the check-in process! Waivers can also be completed online. This is NOT a drop off event. ALL students must be accompanied by an adult.

Dads on Duty-Friday, September 6th

CALL ALL DADS! HIGH FIVE FRIDAY IS COMING!

Join us for our first High Five Friday of the year on Friday, September 6th! We will have dads in the car rider and bus lanes between 7:45-8:15am greeting students and getting them PUMPED for the start of the weekend. This is a small time commitment with BIG IMPACT for our students and staff! Click the link below to sign up!

Book Fair & Lunch with a Loved One Volunteers Needed

Our PMES Fall Book Fair will run September 9th-13th. As in previous years, we will hold our Book Fair in conjunction with our Lunch with a Loved One event. Invitations for your child's class lunch will be sent home by their teacher. After lunch, students and their guests are encouraged to float on over to our space themed book fair! We are working with a new company this year and are excited to have an entirely different selection of books and offer a toy-free fair!

Shoot for the Stars Fundraiser

READY FOR LAUNCH! Our PMES Fundraiser will blast off on Thursday, September 19th! This year, we are raising money for a StarLab. The StarLab is a portable, immersive learning experience which will be accessible for ALL students at PMES. The Lab can be used by teachers to dive deeper into their students' study of astronomy, geology, meteorology, and much more! Fundraiser packets will be sent home in Friday Folders on Thursday, September 19th (due to our digital learning day on Friday, September 20th). Collection days will be held on September, 23rd, 25th, and 30th and October 5th, 7th and 9th. There will be OUT OF THIS WORLD prizes throughout! LET'S SHOOT FOR THE STARS, HAWKS!

Yearbooks on Sale Now!

We are working with a new company this year! Order your yearbook now before the price increases on 9/6! To order, visit www.pmesyearbook.com.

Want to purchase an ad to go in the back of the yearbook for your student? This is very popular with our 5th graders! Deadline to purchase ad space is 11/11 (or order your ad before 10/10 to secure early bird pricing). You must have your photos ready to design the ad when it’s purchased.

Want to submit photos for this year's yearbook? We love that! You can email your photos to pmeshawksyearbook@gmail.com or just post them in the comments section when we issue photo calls on Facebook! No need to do both-our Yearbook Committee will pull the photos from Facebook if you post them there.
