B#4 Foundation Presentation on Mental Health Awareness
As student and staff mental health concerns continue to increase, it is critical that we develop resources and strategies to ensure we are reaching those individuals who need it most. To further the discussion surrounding mental health awareness, on January 16, 2025, Cedar Springs High School will host a presentation from the B#4 Foundation for students. The presentation is designed to educate individuals about the impact anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses have on people and their families, and to create meaningful, positive, and helpful dialogue.
We have observed firsthand the profound impact mental health issues have had on our families, communities, and schools. The goal of the B#4 Foundation is to reduce the stigma around mental illness. We strive to get people talking about mental health, depression, and anxiety, sharing that “it is ok to not be ok,” but that we must reach out for help when we’re struggling. We want to educate people about mental health struggles and encourage them to access the resources available to help.
