Fairmount Families Week END Report
09.13.2024
Happy Friday, Fairmount Families!
Happy Friday, Fairmount Families!
It was a wonderful week of learning at Fairmount filled with a few firsts - first Fun Lunch and PTA Meeting of the year! I am beyond appreciative of all of the work our PTA and parent volunteers do and we hope to see even more parents/guardians at our future PTA meetings. Don't forget to visit the PTA Website to view upcoming events and get involved with our other Falcon families.
Downers Grove District 58's annual Oktoberfest starts tonight and continues into Saturday. Both myself and many of the Fairmount teachers and staff will be volunteering at the event - we hope to see you there!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Lisa Niforatos

Teacher (& Staff) Feature
We are so glad you are part of our school community! Whether this is your child's first or seventh year at Fairmount, we wanted to provide a fun way to get to know the many members of our teaching and school staff. We started this section two years ago and look forward to continuing it during the 2024-2025 school year. This year we have added a "school twist" for our staff.

A big part of why I became a teacher... My grandpa was my biggest inspiration for becoming a teacher! If you walk into my classroom, you'll see many of grandpas quotes hanging on my classroom walls!
A memorable moment of my time in school was... learning how to read!
If I wasn't a teacher/didn't work in a school I would... a stay at home dog mom or a baker :)

Fairmount PTA Membership
Directory Spot is now updated and live! If you joined the PTA this school year, you should have gotten a email (check your junk mail) today to reset your password. Once you reset your password, you should be able to log in and see the updated class lists and parent/guardian info. Members from last year who have not yet joined will have lost their access.
One change from this year is that we were unable to add a second parent/guardian. If you want to, you can log in (through a browser, not the app) to DirectorySpot.net/general/login.php
then go to My Account and you will see where you can add an additional parent/guardian.

Student Change in Dismissal
If your child's dismissal plan will be different (e.g. not taking the bus), please communicate this to both the school secretaries and classroom teacher as promptly as possible. This is especially important for our younger students, so we can support their dismissal process. In the event of a last-minute change (anytime after 11:30 a.m.), we ask that you please call the school office (630.719.5830) as staff members may not check their emails prior to daily dismissal.
Food Service in District 58
