You'll have a chance to connect with fellow Bearcats and learn more about AISD schools, programs and community resources! You'll see first-hand how ALL IN we are in Aledo!
Come and go from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the Aledo High School cafeteria at 1000 Bailey Ranch Road. Enter through the main front doors of AHS that face Bailey Ranch Road.

✏️Important Back to School Information🖍️
District-issued Devices
Students in grades PK-5 will not be issued a Chromebook; devices will be stored in each classroom for students to use. For students in grades 6-12, we distribute devices at each campus once school starts. While students in grades 6-12 may bring their own device, we very highly recommend they check out and use a district Chromebook.
IMPORTANT: Students with outstanding device fees WILL NOT be reissued a device until their fees have been paid. Log in to your InTouch account to see if you have any outstanding fees and also to pay those outstanding fees. If your student has an outstanding technology fee, this would have also been communicated with you via a mailed letter at the end of last school year.
School supplies
School supply lists for students in grades PK-8 are online at aledoisd.org/schoolsupplies.
If your student is entering grades 9-12, teachers will give a list of supplies needed during the first week of school. Sending your student with paper and a pencil/pen on the first day should suffice until you get further instructions from teachers.
School Meals
Each Aledo ISD campus serves breakfast and lunch daily in the cafeteria. AISD utilizes MySchoolBucks as a prepaid meal account for students. Also, it is time to apply for free or reduced-price meals for those who qualify based on financial need or household situation. Transportation registration
Registration for bus transportation is completed during the school registration process this year. However, if you missed registering your student or need to update your bus registration, you may still access that through the Ascender Parent Portal at any time. Please remember these important dates:
The bus transportation registration deadline for students utilizing bus transportation the first week of school (August 16-18) will be on Wednesday, August 9.
Any registration after August 9 means your student may begin riding the bus on Monday, August 21.
Registering your student after August 21 requires three business days before they may begin riding the bus.
Please download the Versatrans MyStop app to track your students’ bus location and arrival times as well as to receive notifications on delays or other pertinent information.
On Monday, August 14, you will be able to view bus routes/times through Versatrans MyStop. Username is your student ID# and Password is student date of birth XX/XX/XXX.
Click here to access the Pre-K-1st School Bus Rider Release form. It is the policy of Aledo ISD that all Pre-K, kindergarten and 1st-grade students must be met at the bus stop each afternoon by a parent or guardian unless granted permission to the Director of Transportation for an older sibling or other approved family member to meet the Pre-K-1st-grade child after submission and approval of this form. Parents/guardians must be at the bus stop each day on time for their student(s) until they receive notification of approval of this request. This form must be renewed each year. Please print, fill out and sign this form and return it via email to transportation@aledoisd.org.

Immunizations and Medications
Now is a great time to get registered for Bearcat Care Clinics in partnership with the Parker County Hospital District on each of our campuses. This service saves our parents and staff valuable time as they allow Aledo ISD families and staff the ability to receive telemedicine care onsite at each campus. School nurses will be present with students and parents can attend the appointment in person or remotely. Using telemedicine and a Medpod Medical Cart in the nurse’s office at each Aledo ISD campus, students and staff will have access to visit with Steven Welch, DO, the chief medical officer for the Parker County Hospital District and local health authority for Parker County. Aledo ISD school nurses can, if recommended by Welch, administer flu, strep or rapid COVID-19 tests and then Welch can prescribe medication, if necessary.
Please visit the Texas Department of State Health Services for information about immunization requirements for schools for the 2023-2024 school year. Please also contact the nurse for your child’s school if you have any questions or need to provide medication or other medical information for your child for the school year
The district is hosting a free Immunization Clinic with Parker County Hospital District from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 4 at the Daniel Ninth Grade Campus gymnasium. This immunization clinic is for students entering grades kindergarten-12 only.
District and Campus Communications
It is important that you keep your email address and phone number(s) up to date with the district so that you receive communications from the district and from your campus. The district communicates mostly via email and text message; teachers communicate with parents via the Remind app and/or email. Once schedules and teacher assignments are released, we will add class information to Remind so that you are automatically added to the correct classes for your student(s). Click here to watch an introductory video about Remind or visit this site to learn how to get started in Remind.
UIL Athletics Forms/Rank 1

Supplemental Student Accident Insurance Information
Effective July 31, 2023, Aledo ISD will no longer fund supplemental student accident insurance. However, we want to make parents and guardians of students in grades K-12 aware of the opportunity to voluntarily purchase a plan for your child.
While the district is not liable for accidents/injuries that students may experience while attending school or participating in activities related to school, including UIL activities, we wanted to inform you of the reasonably priced plans that are available for parents to purchase.
Supplemental insurance is meant to kick in after your primary insurance has paid. This supplemental student accident insurance has a $0 deductible with the exception of the varsity football plan, which has a $250 deductible.
Parent-purchased plans offer five coverage options:
24-hour accident, cost $80 per school year
24-hour accident + athletics (UIL), cost $180 per school year
At-school only, cost $30 per school year
At-school only + athletics (UIL), $90 per school year
Varsity football accident (UIL) $325 per school year
Enrollment can happen at any time and coverage is good for a calendar year from date of enrollment. Plan details as well as a registration link for the supplemental student accident insurance may be found online at https://www.texaskidsfirst.com/#plans. If additional information is needed, please contact Texas Kids First at 800-366-8354.
