Message from our Principal
Hello Eagle Families!
I'd like to take a moment to point out some important reminders and updates:
- Registration for 2024-2025 - If you a have a child that will be attending Weathersfield for the first time next school year, Registration is now open. I highly encourage you to get this done ASAP. Please share this information with family, friends, and neighbors who may have a child attending Weathersfield for the first time next year as well.
- Read Across America Week: March 2-6. The Conejo Valley Unified School District celebrates Read Across America Week: March 2, 2024 to March 6, 2024. This national, weeklong event promotes the benefits of reading as well as the importance of adult involvement in the education of our community’s students. Please click HERE for more details.
- CVUSD recognizes March as Disability History Month. Disability History Month is a month-long observance that brings attention to the varied and unique experiences of individuals with disabilities. It’s a time to celebrate their achievements, advocate for their rights, and promote understanding and inclusivity within society. During this period, various events, programs, and advocacy campaigns take place across the country, uniting communities in the spirit of inclusion and acceptance. Please click HERE for more details.
- CVUSD recognizes March as Women's History Month. Each year, National Women’s History Month offers an opportunity to honor the contributions women have made to our nation and society. CVUSD is proud to recognize the accomplishments of women all year through and especially this March. The theme for the 2024 National Women's History Month is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.” This theme recognizes “women throughout the country who understand that, for a positive future, we need to eliminate bias and discrimination entirely from our lives and institutions.” Please click HERE for more details.
Have a wonderful week!

VERY Useful Attendance Tip
It is important to call the office every day that your child is absent, preferably before 8:25a.m., to relay the reason for your child's absence. The attendance line is open 24/7, so you may call at any time to report the absence. Placing an absence call to the office in a timely manner is important for the following reason: After three (3) days, the attendance system will automatically convert unexplained absences into truancies, which may not be changed and remain a permanent part of your child's attendance record.
Multiple unexplained absences and/or truancies will cause your child to enter the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) system. More information on SARB may be accessed by clicking HERE (the SARB information will be located at bottom of the webpage).

Lost & Found Filling Up Again
The Lost & Found is starting to fill again. Please check it for your child's sweatshirts, jackets, water bottles, and the like.
FRIENDLY TIP: Consider labeling your child's outer wear, water bottles, and lunch boxes. If your child's name is on these items, we have a better chance of helping the items connect with their owners.
Reminders

- Staff Parking Lot - All staff members have Weathersfield Staff Parking passes to enter and park in the staff parking lot. Please do not enter or park in the staff lot for morning drop off or afternoon pick-up before 3pm.
- Attendance - Positive, daily attendance is essential for student learning and correlates with student success throughout the school year. Missing school equates to missed learning opportunities. Teachers are working hard to help students reach their highest academic achievement. Please be sure to have your students at school every day and on time. More attendance information can be found here: https://www.conejousd.org/Page/2005
- Food deliveries - There has been a significant increase in food deliveries from services such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Instacart. If any food needs to be delivered , please have a family member drop it off. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep a safe and secure campus.
