Principal Message - Kanika A. Burks
Good Afternoon MCP: Lola Rowe North Families,
This week brought rain, ice, and fog. Like the rain for the sky, we may have shed our own tears of anger or sadness. We may have tried to balance our personal and professional lives and slipped a few times or even fallen, just like many did on the ice. We may have even had difficulty viewing our own future, our goals or our purpose because the fog of fear, frustration and even failure tried to blur or block our vision. The weather often reflects our lives. The storms may come; however, we must continue to move forward. Pick up your umbrella of understanding, put on your cleats or courage and turn on your high beams of hope. Know that you are not alone! We are all moving forward TOGETHER! Yes, we may stumble, but there is always someone who will remind you to slow down, stop for a moment, now STAND UP and walk in your strengths, intelligence and talents. Remember to take time this weekend to thank those who believe in you, encourage you and push you toward your full potential! Whether a child or an adult, let them know that they were the sunshine or the shining star in the midst of your storm.
