Coloma Junior High
Week of September 2nd
Wonderful Week!
We have had a wonderful first week of school. It is so nice to have our students back in the building. The Junior High has changed up teacher classrooms and locker assignments and students have taken it all in stride. We have enjoyed watching our older students helping out our younger students with lockers and finding classrooms.
We took time to meet with each grade level to review expectations. Students have done a great job with meeting expectations including the updated cell phone policy.
All students have also been issued their Chromebook. We highly recommend purchasing the Chromebook Assurance (details included below). You can help your child by establishing a nightly routine for your child to charge their Chromebook and bring it to school every day. Students will use their Chromebooks throughout the day every day.
Homecoming Spirit!!
Homecoming is early this year. Our Homecoming Game will be on Friday, September 20th! That week leading up to Homecoming will be our Spirit Week. Be sure that your student can show their Green and Gold. We have put together spirit packs available only at the Junior High. Items are available for purchase in the main office or during lunches for our students. Show your Spirit!!

Accidental Breakage Assurance
Coloma Community Schools recommends that accidental breakage assurance be purchased prior to the deployment of the Chromebook to your child. Coloma Community Schools will be the sole provider of this assurance. Under this assurance agreement, the Chromebooks are protected against theft or accidental damage. The Coloma Community Schools will require that a police report be submitted in cases of theft. A student making a false report will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined by the school code of conduct.
This accidental breakage assurance policy does not cover for loss of the Chromebook and/or its accessories, cosmetic damage, or damages caused by intentional misuse and abuse. Coloma Community Schools will assess the Chromebook damage and repair or replace the device if the damage is determined to be accidental and within the protection guidelines. Parents/Students may be charged for full replacement cost of a device that has been lost or damaged due to intentional misuse or abuse.
The accidental breakage assurance cost is $20.00 annually for each chromebook 6th grade through 12th grade. It is non-refundable.
