Outstanding Jr. Statesman Awards Breakfast was a Success!

We were so busy running the ceremony that we didn't get very good pictures (we will do better next time), BUT we were so happy to honor Hixson students and staff at our very first Outstanding Jr. Statesman Awards breakfast on Monday, December 11, 2023! We would like to thank all of the parents and family members for your support of this event. We would also like to thank all of our awardees for making a positive impact in our school community each and every day. We look forward to hosting our second Outstanding Jr. Statesman Awards breakfast in May of 2024 so that we can honor even more Hixson students and staff.

Hixson Middle School Honored at BOE Meeting

The following Hixson staff/programs were honored at the BOE meeting last night.

Mr. Eric Hayes for creating an amazing Sustainability program and leading our school to the Seedling level of the MO Green Schools program.
Mrs. Amy Hensley for receiving the St. Louis Suburban School Nurses' (SLSSNA) Outstanding Service by a School Nurse Award.
Hixson PE/Health department for just being amazing and innovative teachers who love our students.

Seeking Donations for 8th grade Party!

The planning committee for the 8th grade party is seeking donations for decorations and snacks. Please visit our Amazon Wishlist if you are able to contribute! We will also need volunteers to chaperone - more information will be sent after winter break!

2nd Semester After School Activities

Students will learn about 2nd semester after school activities during Statesmen Time on December 12th. We will also teach them how to sign up for an activity at that time. Sign-ups will close on Friday, December 15, 2023.
