Drama Club Roller Party
A couple weekends ago, members of the SHS drama club (along with drama clubs from 14 other local schools) attended a roller rink party hosted by the North Reading Masquers. They got to meet like minded kids from the area, and had fun bonding with their cast/crew mates. Also, it was an interesting exercise in role reversal when they finally coaxed Ms. Hamilton-French into skates - they got to experience what she does (teaching and encouraging a hesitant person to try something new) and she got to experience a little of what she asks them to do everyday (get up in front of a crowd and bravely try something despite fears of falling on my face or looking ridiculous, but in a supportive environment).
