The SMS spring dance is Friday, March 14th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

The cost is $5 per student. Concessions will also be available for purchase.

School rules (including dress code and phone possession/use) apply.

Students must have their lanyard in order to enter the dance.

Drop off for 6th and 7th graders is at door #11. Drop off for 8th graders is at door #7.

Pick up for 6th and 7th graders is at door #11. Pick up for any cars with an 8th grader is at door #1.

In order to be eligible to attend the dance, students must be at school all day on the day of the dance, cannot earn any discipline on March 14th, and must not have earned 2 or more demerits for aggressive or illegal behavior since Tuesday, November 12th.

Chaperone sign-ups will launch via ParentSquare on Sunday, March 9th.

SMS yearbooks are now on sale.

The cost is $17.

Yearbooks can be ordered via the QR code in the picture or via a paper order form that is available in the SMS office.

The deadline to order is Friday, March 21st.

February 24th - 28th was Builders Club week at SMS.

Check out the pictures below of several students, faculty, and staff who participated in rhyme without reason day on Tuesday, stripes and silly socks day on Thursday, and hat day on Friday.

Winter sports are basketball, cheer, swimming, and wrestling.

Basketball and cheer have ended for the season, but our wrestlers and swimmers are still competing.

Spring sports are baseball, golf, softball, girls' tennis, and track/field.

Tennis tryouts are March 3rd through 7th from 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. at the SMS tennis courts.

Track/field practice starts on March 3rd from 3:15 - 4:30 p.m. in the east gym.

Students should listen to the afternoon announcements for updates about practices and competitions.

Eventlink is the platform that we use to communicate with parents/family members regarding practices and events.

Harmony made some updates over the summer, including a new link for Harmony Family Access. When you need to visit Harmony Family Access to update information, check grades, add money to a cafeteria account, etc., please use this link. It is also located on the Scott 2 website under "Students & Parents" if you prefer to access it from there.

August 6 - first day of school

September 1 - no school

October 13-17 - no school

November 10 - no school

November 26-28 - no school

December 22-January 2 - no school

January 19 - no school

February 23 - no school

March 23-27 - no school

May 21 - last day of school

The Scottsburg MS student handbook contains some updates for the 2024-2025 school year. Once again, the most significant changes took place in the attendance section.

We encourage you to read the handbook with your child(ren) and to contact us with any questions you may have.
