SUN Bucks is a program from the California Department of Social Services, in partnership with the California Department of Education, that helps families with school-age children buy groceries during the summer months when kids might not have access to school meals. If your household income is less than 185% of the Federal level, children in your household may be eligible for the SUN Bucks Summer EBT Card Program.
Participating families will receive $120 for each eligible child on a card that can be used to buy food during the summer at grocery stores, farmers markets, and other authorized retailers. SUN Bucks provides $40 per month for food for June, July and August ($120 total) and works just like CalFresh. Participating in SUN Bucks does not affect a family’s immigration status.
If you think your children are eligible, you can receive Summer EBT by filling out the District’s online Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form or families may submit a hard copy version of this Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form. If you think your children are eligible to receive Summer EBT and you have previously filled out the Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form for the 2024-2025 school year - no further action is needed. Please be sure to complete the online Free / Reduced Meal Eligibility Form or submit a hard copy version of this form as soon as possible, in order to receive benefits for this summer, if eligible.
Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to update/review their home address in the CVUSD Q system, as the address in the District’s system is where the state of California will mail Summer EBT cards to. The CVUSD does not have a role in the physical distribution of the Summer EBT cards.
Parents and guardians of students in the Conejo Valley Unified School District are invited to attend a free "Reality Party for Parents" on Saturday, April 5th.
This unique event offers participants the chance to explore a local Conejo Valley home transformed into a realistic teen party scene. During the tour, youth actors will bring to life concerns expressed by local teens and young adults.
The goal of this event is to foster relevant and meaningful conversations between parents, guardians, and their teens about these challenging topics. Open discussions are encouraged among attendees. Community strategies aimed at keeping children and youth safe and healthy will be shared.
Reservations are required for this FREE, adult-only event, with very limited availability. One hour time slots are available between 1pm and 6pm. Tours are available in Spanish.
The CVUSD Parent Outreach Program invites parents and guardians to attend upcoming Positive Discipline Virtual Workshops, “Raising Resilient, Responsible and Independent Children.” The online presentations (hosted on Zoom) will be in Spanish with English subtitles and held from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm on the following dates:

March Madness has arrived in the Conejo with the start of our annual Unified Sports Basketball Tournament! This past Thursday, in front of a cheering crowd, our Thousand Oaks High School Lancers hosted our Westlake High School Warriors with stellar basketball skills, sportsmanship, inclusion, and fun on full display for a slam dunk of an event. This marked the start of a three-game series where our comprehensive high schools' teams of Unified Athletes and Partners will face-off at center court. Each school will have the opportunity to host a game with the following schedule ahead:
- Friday, March 21st at 10:50am: Warrior Gym - WHS vs. NPHS
- Friday, March 28th at 10:20am: Panther Gym - NPHS vs. TOHS
In preparation for the annual Games, the teams typically practice once a week where training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding between Athletes and Unified Partners. We are so proud of our Unified Athletes and Partners for their dedication and teamwork on and off the court. We also share our immense gratitude to our dedicated staff members who have made this memorable experience possible. We're proud to be part of the #InclusionRevolution. Way to go Athletes and Unified Partners!
