MISSION: IGNITING A PASSION FOR LEARNING
Message from the Principal
Hello Farmington Families!
A few updates to share:
- I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! I am thankful to be working at such a community-driven school with curious kids, skilled adults and generous families!
- We have been so pleased to have a full specials staff! Mrs. Lucas got right to work in the art room with students and producing beautiful art work for our hallways. Our students are so proud of their work! Ms. Plum has had our kids singing and moving from her first day in the classroom with us. I have heard several comments from students and teachers regarding how much everyone is enjoying the talents of our new staff members!
- Trimester 2 has begun!
- Report cards communication will be sent home December 7th. Report cards are available digitally, through Skyward Access.
- This week we are welcoming our newest staff member, Jeanette Jung. Mrs. Jung comes to us with an extensive background working and assisting others with special needs. Mrs. Jung will be part of our special education department working closely with Mrs. Schoneman.
Save the Date!
Farmington’s Family Learning Night is back for 2022, so mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 18th from 6:00-7:30. Our theme this year is “Try Something New!” so be prepared to do just that! As always, the evening will be filled with fun and engaging learning activities for the entire family as well as some tasty snacks. We hope to see you there!
Greetings From the Elementary Music Department,
We are happy to announce our new music teacher Miss. Jennifer Pflum. Miss. Pflum is teaching at FES, i4L, and grades 5K and 1st at KES. Due to the circumstances of Miss. Pflum’s recent hire we wanted to inform you about the plan for our winter music performances. With our district administration, we have decided it is in the children’s best interest to have a virtual music performance this December.
Parents and guardians can expect an email through skyward indicating the day your child’s performance will be recorded. This will allow you time to plan festive attire if you so choose. Once we are finished with the recordings, we will share your student’s performance through Google Classroom and a Skyward email.
Thank you for your understanding,
Miss. Pflum , Mrs. Gerhartz
