At this time, the Board of Education would like to resume the Redistricting process that was paused last year in hopes of arriving at a set of thoughtful recommendations to take on these challenges as part of a long-term plan.

Our timeline calls for the Board to consider recommendations by the end of the 2024-25 school year for implementation in phases beginning no earlier than September 2026.

A critical first step in making our work transparent will be to help build clarity around the “why” of redistricting, This will require clarifying the issues that make this work so necessary and establishing clear priorities to serve as the basis of long-range decision making.

From there, we pledge to keep you informed throughout the process and offer regular opportunities to provide feedback to help guide our process.

As part of gathering essential information in regard to redistricting, the District has developed a Thought Exchange survey.

You will be able to input your thoughts, read the thoughts of other respondents, and rate them as well - all while remaining completely anonymous. The outcome will yield valuable information that will stimulate further discussion as we engage in the process of making decisions together.
